Detox Drink For Weight Loss - Weight Loss Series


Corona has made us all prisoners at home. And in a very small period, there has been a boom of home cooks and chefs. Unwanted fat also seems to have become a part of our lifestyle. Why not try some detox drinks? These can be made in your kitchen with easily available ingredients.

 1. Lemon and Ginger detox drink

    Lemon has many qualities. It keeps your breath fresh; it is good for your skin and is even said to boost immunity. Being a natural diuretic; it drains off unwanted water weight. Lemon; not many know, helps with digestion. So when you consume lime before a meal, you are given a feel of a full tummy even with small amounts of food.






    Ginger is a well-known detoxifier. Ginger; it is proved, removes unwanted chemicals from your body. It keeps one's metabolism in full strength and improves digestion. Ginger also helps suppress your appetite.

Method of preparation

Take a mixer grinder and add a small piece of lemon and a small piece of ginger. Grind it well. Now add this mix into a glass of water. Stir well. 

When to consume?

Consume this detox drink on an empty stomach. Preferably early in the morning.


2. Lemon - Cucumber drink.

Lemon as mentioned above proves magical to our body. Cucumber as we all know is rich in water content and fibre. The toxins get removed from the body as Cucumber reduces swelling; thereby helping indigestion. 

Method of preparation

Take a mixer grinder add a small piece of lemon and few sliced cucumber pieces grind well and mix this into a glass of water. Stir well.


When to consume?

Consume this detox drink on an empty stomach. Preferably early in the morning.

3. Curry leaf drink

Curry leaf is something that plays a major role in speeding up the weight loss process. By keeping the gut and intestine healthy, curry leaves bring about better metabolism thereby improving digestion. They ensure easy bowel movement and hence is the best natural source for detox.





Method of preparation


Take a mixer grinder, add 6-7 curry leaves and grind well. Add this to water and stir well. 

When to consume?

Consume this detox drink on an empty stomach. Preferably early in the morning.


4. Gooseberry or Amla drink

Gooseberry is often prescribed to people with diabetes and is said to have resulted in reducing blood sugar. Apart from this, gooseberry is an apt source for weight loss. 

Method of preparation

Take a piece of amla and add some water to grind it well. Add about 2-3 teaspoons of this mixture to water and have it on an empty stomach. So why wait to take medicines after you face obesity? Let's live in proximity to nature. Let nature heal us, and make us better!


When to consume?

Consume this detox drink on an empty stomach. Preferably early in the morning.
